Flower Trio Filly Sketches

I was going through some old art and came across the Trio’s filly design sketch.

This is a relatively recent sketch that I did just to solidify the designs for all the posts that take place in the past. All of the characters are 5-7 years younger than the start of the comic. I also wanted to make sure their manes were slightly different for any post that took place in the past.

Lily’s mane is the same, but she hasn’t yet received the lily hairpiece that Rose gave her when they first met. Instead she wears a little clip that serves no functional purpose.

Roseluck’s mane is shorter, only reaching to the bottom of her neck. She ties her pink ribbon to the side of her mane. Rose also had softer and rounder eyes as a filly.

Daisy’s differences are minor, but her mane is less full and curly than her modern version is. The curls on top of her forehead also all go in the same direction similar to how Bonbon and Linky have their manes.

Since sketch was more about the characters 5-7 years before the blog starts, Daisy’s “filly” design isn’t as young as the other two. It doesn’t show as much in the main blog, but the age gap between Daisy and Lily is much greater than the gap between Rose and Lily.
